Figure 3. The follicular center cells are larger than the surrounding mantle cells. There are intermediate-sized cells with cleaved nuclear borders (centrocytes), larger blast-like cells (centroblasts) and pale staining macrophages with abundant cytoplasm containing debris.
Figure 5. Immunohistochemical staining with anti-CD 20 highlights the B-cell lymphocytes of the germinal center (mantle zone and follicular center). In addition scattered B-cells can be seen throughout the remainder of the specimen.
