Figure 3. Dohle bodies may also be found in infection, where they
tend to be smaller in size, and usually occur peripherally in the neutrophil, as opposed to in the May-Hegglin anomaly.
Toxic granules and cytoplasmic vaculoles in the neutrophils are also seen in infection, and not in May-Hegglin anomaly.
