About ASH Image Bank

Overview

The American Society of Hematology (ASH) Image Bank is intended to serve as a comprehensive reference and teaching tool that is widely accessible to physicians and hematology students around the world. The images are presented in a digital, case-based format that allows both the images and text to be searched, cross-referenced, and hyper-linked to other cases as well as other educational resources, including Hematology, the Society's annual meeting Education Program Book, the ASH Teaching Cases and the syllabus from the ASH Self-Assessment Program. In addition to the case studies, the Image Bank includes a collection of basic atlas images.

This project is a major outreach effort to the clinical and academic community, defined as members of ASH, internists, clinical pathologists, pediatricians, hematologists and oncologists.

Submission and Review Process

Atlas image sets submitted online will be assigned to the appropriate editorial board member for review, based on the topic identified. The editors will have access to submissions through an online review site, and will communicate directly with the authors regarding any changes. Revisions can then be uploaded through the submission site.

Going forward, the ASH Image Bank will collect atlas image sets, not full case studies. Case studies should be sent to cme{at}hematology.org for consideration. Submit your atlas image sets here.

Authors must be willing to transfer copyright ownership of their text and images to ASH and must not include any material the publication of which would violate any copyright or other personal or proprietary right of any person or entity.

Further instructions for how to submit to the ASH Image Bank are available at the Instructions for Authors page.
